Project info:
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join a team working for our client on a large-scale technology platform supporting the travel industry.
The platform enables travel agencies and corporate buyers to search, compare, and book hotel accommodations by integrating a wide range of properties and lodging options from multiple sources into one unified shopping experience.
The project focuses on the ongoing modernization of this large-scale platform, providing an opportunity to work on a complex and technically challenging solution used across the travel industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated tests using Java.
- Design and implement test strategies for backend applications and services.
- Test RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
- Work with Java, Spring Boot, GCP and Kubernetes.
- Participate in the modernization of an existing platform, including migration from Java 8 to a newer version.
- Analyze existing functionality and improve test coverage.
- Identify issues, investigate root causes and support troubleshooting.
- Work with CI/CD tools and ensure high-quality automated testing.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, QA Engineers and other technical teams.
Job requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing / QA, with strong experience in Java-based projects.
- Strong knowledge of Java and experience with test automation.
- Experience testing backend applications, REST APIs and Web Services.
- Good knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot.
- Experience with Java-based testing frameworks and automation tools.
- Practical knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins and Docker.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Good understanding of CI/CD processes and automated testing.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience testing complex applications and distributed systems.
- Good understanding of software development and QA processes.
- Excellent communication skills in Polish and English, both written and verbal.
Must possess a legal work permit in Poland
