We are seeking a Qualified Elevator Inspector to oversee elevator inspections and ensure installations comply with applicable NEC, ASME, and local elevator (residential) codes. This position will primarily cover the Baltimore, MD and Northern Virginia areas.
The company specializes in custom-built residential elevators manufactured in the USA, designed specifically for individual homes. Product offerings include Traction Machine Room-Less and Hydraulic elevator systems, along with a wide range of cab styles, options, upgrades, and fixtures.
The successful candidate will work alongside teams that manage elevator projects from initial planning through installation. Factory-trained elevator mechanics handle installations, while an experienced service team provides ongoing maintenance and support throughout the life of each elevator.
Location Requirements
The ideal candidate must live within the Baltimore, MD to Northern Virginia area. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates residing outside the specified geographic area will not be considered.
Minimum Requirements
- Must hold a CET certification, Maryland Elevator Mechanic License, or have successfully completed the NEEIP program. Candidates without one of these qualifications will not be considered.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong electrical skills and ability to read electrical schematics.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required.
- Ability to travel overnight occasionally.
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. or more and performing demanding physical work.
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces, including attics.
- Knowledge and experience with the proper use of hand tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
