The Role
- Lead and develop the QA Automation team, defining test automation strategies across all levels (Unit, Integration, System, Stress, Performance).
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to ensure delivery and quality commitments.
- Implement 'shift-left', automation-first, and risk-based testing approaches in the development process.
- Remain hands-on in designing scalable frameworks, harnesses, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive AI-native test automation, using AI tools for test generation, maintenance, and triage.
- Mentor QA Engineers and contribute to the AIS DE QA community.
What You'll Need
- Proven leadership experience in test automation with strong technical credibility.
- Ability to develop a senior technical team professionally and personally.
- Excellent university degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Deep experience with multi-layered test frameworks, CI/CD, load, and performance testing.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language like C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript.
- Demonstrated effective use of AI in QA, preferably with Claude Code or similar agentic tools.
- Fluent German and English language skills.
