Job Summary

Accelyst is seeking a hands-on Computer Vision / Image Processing Developer to support an enterprise image-processing and analytics product. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience with expertise in computer vision, image processing, machine learning model outputs, metadata extraction, data validation, and analytics-ready data pipelines.

This role will focus on processing appraisal/property images, validating computer vision model outputs, extracting image metadata, troubleshooting data and model results, and integrating semi-structured image data into downstream analytics platforms.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Python-based applications and data processing workflows for computer vision and image-processing use cases.

- Process and analyze appraisal and property images using computer vision and image-processing techniques.

- Work with computer vision model outputs including labels, bounding boxes, confidence scores, classifications, and metadata.

- Validate computer vision and machine learning model outputs for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and expected behavior.

- Develop automated validation and testing processes for image-processing and model-output pipelines.

- Use OpenCV, Pillow, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks for image processing and computer vision development.

- Extract, transform, validate, and structure image metadata and other semi-structured data for downstream analytics.

- Work with JSON and other semi-structured data formats to process and integrate model outputs.

- Develop and maintain SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and data-quality checks.

- Build and support data pipelines that transform computer vision outputs into analytics-ready datasets.

- Troubleshoot issues involving image processing, model outputs, data quality, pipelines, and downstream integrations.

- Collaborate with data engineers, machine learning engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve data workflows.

- Perform functional and technical testing of image-processing workflows and computer vision outputs.

- Document technical processes, validation rules, data structures, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Support continuous improvement of image-processing and computer vision pipelines.

Required Qualifications

- Strong hands-on Python development experience.

- Experience with Computer Vision and Image Processing.

- Hands-on experience with one or more of:

- OpenCV

- Pillow

- PyTorch

- TensorFlow

- Similar computer vision / machine learning frameworks

- Experience working with computer vision model outputs, including:

- Image Labels

- Bounding Boxes

- Confidence Scores

- Classification Results

- Image Metadata

- Strong SQL skills.

- Experience working with JSON and semi-structured data.

- Experience with data pipelines, data validation, and data-quality processes.

- Experience validating, testing, and troubleshooting machine learning or computer vision model outputs.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively with data scientists, ML engineers, developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Snowflake, including VARIANT and semi-structured data.

- Experience working with mortgage, appraisal, property, or real-estate images.

- Experience with UAD (Uniform Appraisal Dataset).

- Experience with GSE environments.

- Experience with OCR technologies.

- Experience with Object Detection.

- Experience with Image Classification.

- Experience working with large-scale image datasets and analytics platforms.

- Financial services or mortgage industry experience.
