Pricing Success Manager

B2B pricing consulting, end to end • Rotterdam / hybrid • Full-time, 32–40 hrs

Most pricing consultants hand over a strategy and never find out whether it worked. This role is the opposite. You advise on the pricing strategy, you build it inside Symson, and you stay to see what it does to margin. Then you do it again at the next organisation.

About Symson

Symson is a B2B SaaS pricing optimization platform. We help retailers, manufacturers and distributors move away from spreadsheets and gut feeling, and towards pricing that is automated, data-driven and measurable.

Our platform covers price automation, price optimization, competitor scraping and dynamic repricing, driven by machine learning and AI. Our customers range from fast-moving SMBs to enterprise organisations with tens of thousands of SKUs and pricing teams spread across countries.

AI is not a marketing line for us. It sits at the core of the product, and it is part of how we work internally as well. We expect everyone in the team to use AI tooling to work faster and think sharper.

The Customer Success team owns everything after the contract is signed: kickoff, onboarding, adoption, training, expansion and renewal. We are the reason customers get value from Symson, and the reason they stay.

The role

We are looking for a Pricing Success Manager: someone with a background as a pricing consultant in B2B who wants to own the full journey instead of just the advice.

You are the pricing expert our customers lean on. During implementation you translate their commercial reality into a working pricing strategy inside Symson. After go-live you stay involved, monitor the results, challenge assumptions and keep pushing the strategy forward as their business changes.

You are responsible end to end. Strategy, implementation and results are not three handovers, they are one job. If the margin does not move, that is your problem to solve.

What you’ll do:

Advise

• Run pricing discovery with commercial, finance and category teams to understand how they price today and where the money leaks out.

• Design pricing strategies that fit the customer: value-based, cost-plus, competitor-driven, segmented, or a combination.

• Challenge customers when their pricing logic does not hold up. You are hired for your judgement, not for agreeing.

• Translate strategy into concrete pricing rules, segmentation and guardrails that can actually run in a system.

Implement

• Own the pricing workstream of the implementation alongside the onboarding and technical teams.

• Configure and test pricing models, rules and AI-driven repricing logic in Symson, and validate outcomes against the customer’s data before go-live.

• Train pricing managers, category managers and commercial teams so they can run and adjust the model themselves.

• Turn what you learn into repeatable frameworks, playbooks and internal knowledge for the wider CS team.

Prove

• Monitor margin, revenue and adoption after go-live, and tie the numbers back to the pricing decisions that caused them.

• Run pricing reviews and QBRs where you present results and propose the next set of moves.

• Spot expansion opportunities that come from genuine value, and support renewals with evidence rather than promises.

• Feed structural product gaps back to Product, backed by what you see across your portfolio.

Why this role is different

In a consultancy you deliver a deck. Inside one company you learn one pricing model very deeply. This role gives you both depth and breadth.

• Range. You work with a portfolio of B2B organisations at the same time, across retail, manufacturing and distribution.

• Insight. You see how different pricing teams are structured, governed and politically positioned, and what actually makes a pricing transformation stick.

• Feedback. You see the outcome of your own advice in the numbers, which is the fastest way to get better at pricing.

• Focus. Pricing is our product, not a side topic. You will be surrounded by people who take it as seriously as you do.

• AI in practice. You work with AI-driven pricing every day, on real commercial decisions with real margin attached. That is a very different education from reading about it.

What you bring:

Must have

• 2–4 years of experience as a pricing consultant, pricing analyst or pricing manager, with a clear focus on B2B organisations.

• Solid grasp of pricing fundamentals: price architecture, segmentation, elasticity, discount structures, margin management.

• You are comfortable in data. Excel is second nature, and you can interrogate a dataset to find where margin is being lost.

• Consulting instinct: you ask sharp questions, structure a messy problem and get stakeholders aligned around a decision.

• Strong communication in Dutch and English, written and spoken, up to and including C-level.

• You take ownership. When something stalls, you pick it up instead of pointing at whoever should have done it.

• You handle information securely. You work with confidential customer and pricing data every day, so you are expected to follow our ISO 27001 information security policies and take responsibility for keeping that data safe.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling, whether in your own workflow or in the pricing models you have worked with. We use AI heavily and you will get further, faster, if you already think this way.

• Experience with pricing software, ERP or PIM systems.

• Exposure to customer-facing commercial work such as renewals, upsell or account management.

• Background in retail, wholesale, distribution or manufacturing.

What we offer

Salary: €4.000 – €5.000 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on experience.

• 24 holiday days and 8% holiday allowance.

• Pension scheme and travel or home-office allowance.

• Laptop and the tooling you need to do the job properly, including the AI tools we work with.

• Hybrid working: 2 days at our Rotterdam office, 3 days from home or on site with a customer.

• A CS team where you have direct influence on how we work, and a short line to Product and Leadership.

• Direct exposure to a portfolio of B2B pricing challenges you would not see in one lifetime inside a single company.
