About the Company
Airy is upgrading HR and payroll software from "log in and fill out forms" to "get it done in a conversation." Our goal: an HR manager confirms a payroll run with one message in Workday; an employee checks their payslip in WhatsApp; a business user invokes Airy directly inside ChatGPT. AI handles understanding and explanation — deterministic engines handle every calculation, and never get it wrong. You will be the first dedicated AI product role on the team, turning this vision into a product that is shippable, testable, and trustworthy.
About the Role
Plug Airy into AI surfaces: design and drive the product's integration as a ChatGPT App / MCP connector so users can invoke Airy inside AI assistants — this is the core mandate of the role.
Responsibilities
- Design conversational experiences: define dialogue flows for HR scenarios (payroll queries, leave, expenses, onboarding) across Lark, WhatsApp, Telegram — when AI answers directly, when it hands off to a human, when it renders structured cards.
- Productize channel integrations: work with engineering on Lark Bot, WhatsApp Business API, and Telegram Bot integrations; define capability boundaries and priorities per channel.
- Own product quality through evals: build real-scenario test sets (multilingual input, adversarial questions, permission-boundary probes), set pre-release quality gates, run regression evals after any model or prompt change.
- Co-own prompts and guardrails: manage system prompts, tool-calling rules, and safety guardrails with engineering.
Qualifications
- AI-native mindset (non-negotiable): you use AI tools heavily to think and build; you understand ChatGPT Apps, MCP, function calling, and RAG well enough to discuss trade-offs with engineers (production coding not required), and you have your own views on products living inside AI surfaces.
- Hands-on AI projects (non-negotiable): coursework, personal projects, hackathon builds, or open-source contributions all count — include a link or demo with your application; we will actually look at it. No years-of-experience requirement — we only look at the work.
- Design-is-testing mindset: you're willing to write your own prompts, run your own tests, and reproduce your own bugs.
- Bilingual (Mandarin & English) working proficiency, with a feel for Southeast Asia's multilingual, multicultural users.
- First-principles thinking: reason from users and constraints, not templates.
