Position Overview:
- Our client is seeking a hands-on Network Administrator to support its enterprise Cisco network environment.
- This is a backfill opportunity requiring someone who can quickly integrate with the team and take ownership of day-to-day network operations with minimal ramp-up.
- The ideal consultant will have strong experience supporting Cisco wireless, switching, and routing in an enterprise environment and enjoy troubleshooting and maintaining production networks.
- This is an operational support role rather than a network architecture position.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
- Administer Cisco switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
- Monitor and maintain production network environments.
- Perform firmware upgrades and routine maintenance.
- Support VLANs, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and core networking services.
- Assist with network documentation and configuration management.
- Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance and after-hours support as needed.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of enterprise network administration experience.
- Strong Cisco switching experience.
- Strong Cisco routing experience.
- Strong Cisco wireless experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting production enterprise environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco Catalyst Center
- Cisco Client
- Check Point Firewall Familiarity
- Infoblox
- CCNA or CCNP Certification
