Role Description The Dispatch Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations. The role includes planning and scheduling shipments, coordinating with production, warehouse, and logistics teams, and ensuring timely delivery of orders to customers and partners. The Dispatch Supervisor monitors documentation and compliance requirements, maintains accurate records of shipments, and resolves any delays or issues in the dispatch process. The position involves supervising dispatch staff, optimizing routes and loading plans, and communicating proactively with internal stakeholders and customers regarding shipment status. The supervisor is expected to maintain safety and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement in dispatch efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, workload allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess Dispatching skills, such as route planning, shipment scheduling, and coordination with logistics providers.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with internal teams and external customers in a clear, professional manner.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant transportation and DOT Regulations, along with basic understanding of logistics compliance and safety practices.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in manufacturing or industrial dispatch operations, proficiency with dispatch or ERP software, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail in documentation.
- A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in dispatch supervision, is preferred.
