Context
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a dynamic Agile team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical business applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in software development, solution architecture, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand, challenge, and refine business requirements, working closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of Java-based applications while ensuring compliance with architectural guidelines and industry best practices.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers, promoting technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Take ownership of critical application components and lead development activities.
- Deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Develop efficient, reusable, and maintainable code while adhering to software quality standards, design principles, and testing best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and promote development standards across the team.
- Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement innovative solutions to improve applications and services.
- Develop monitoring and alerting capabilities to support production environments and reduce operational impacts.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation in English.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project partners.
- Stay up to date with emerging Java technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects while ensuring a high level of end-user satisfaction.
Technical Environment (indicative)
- CMS: Magnolia (strong expertise required)
- Backend: Java, Java-based frameworks
- Frontend: Modern front-end technologies
- Architecture: Web architectures, APIs, enterprise-scale platforms
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, quality gates
- Context: Multi-team, enterprise-grade environments
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Java: Senior level (5+ years of experience)
- Strong understanding of software design and development principles
- PostgreSQL (3+ years of experience)
- Git, Azure DevOps, or equivalent DevOps tools (3+ years of experience)
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience with enterprise application development and maintenance
Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of complex information systems and business processes
