The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Lab Technician to provide advanced hardware and software support for Client validation laboratories. The role focuses on complex troubleshooting, infrastructure management, machine recovery, firmware management, lab operations, and mentoring team members to ensure reliable, efficient, and SLA-compliant lab operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Perform advanced hardware and software troubleshooting for Client validation laboratories.

- Diagnose complex system failures using system logs, firmware data, BMC/iLO information, monitoring dashboards, and engineering procedures.

- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, storage systems, network devices, virtualization environments, and lab infrastructure.

- Lead machine recovery, firmware customization, hardware upgrades, infrastructure expansion, and system qualification activities.

- Perform server provisioning, firmware updates, BIOS configuration, and hardware validation to maintain operational readiness.

- Ensure inventory compliance, asset tracking, and lifecycle management of lab equipment.

- Develop and maintain technical procedures, operational documentation, and troubleshooting guides.

- Mentor junior lab support engineers and technicians by providing technical guidance and knowledge-sharing.

- Coordinate day-to-day lab activities, prioritize support requests, and ensure timely issue resolution.

- Drive operational efficiency initiatives and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) across all lab operations.

- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience driving process improvements and operational excellence.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
