Product Engineer – London, HealthTech start-up (hybrid, 4 days onsite) £100k - £120k + equity.
We're partnering with a fast-growing, product-led HealthTech start-up that are looking for an experienced Product Engineer to join a highly collaborative team.
This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working in a startup environment, taking ownership of problems from discovery through to delivery, and building products that customers make a real difference to users!
You'll work closely with Customers, Product Managers, Designers and other Software/Product Engineers to understand problems first-hand and shape solutions, rather than simply delivering pre-defined tickets. The team values engineers who are curious, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in ambiguous environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and shipping customer-facing product features end-to-end
- Working directly with customers/users to understand pain points and validate solutions
- Collaborating closely with Product and Design to influence what gets built, not just how it's built
- Improving system reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Contributing to technical direction and helping identify future engineering investments
- Using modern tooling and AI-assisted development practices to increase delivery speed and quality
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience (TypeScript, JavaScript, Nest JS etc)
- Backend focused Engineering
- Experience working within a strong, engineering culture environment
- Strong product mindset and genuine interest in understanding customer problems
- Comfortable speaking directly with users and translating feedback into solutions
- Strong engineering fundamentals across APIs, data modelling, and backend systems
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and pragmatism
- High ownership and accountability for the systems you build
