City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), the largest community college system in Illinois, is made up of seven colleges and five satellite sites, providing more than 70,000 students access to a quality, affordable education.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Ethics Officer-PT serves as a senior staff member within the Office of the General Counsel. This position plays a critical role in overseeing and implementing City Colleges of Chicago’s Board Ethics Policies and ensuring compliance with ethical standards. The Ethics Officer-PT provides expert advice concerning ethical matters, handling inquiries, violations, and related training efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Oversees City Colleges of Chicago’s Board Ethics Policies
· Addresses ethical inquiries and reports of ethical violations
· Develops and provides ethics training sessions for faculty, staff, and administrators
· Produces an annual ethics report outlining significant developments during the prior fiscal year
· Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
· Juris doctorate is a plus
· At least five years of ethics or compliance experience
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent public speaking skills
· Ability to function in a high-level position requiring utmost confidentiality, discretion, tact, and judgment
· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Salary Range: $88,800 - 101,800.00
Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
