About the role.
As a Batter Breader Operator at our Appleton, WI plant, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of all batter and breader equipment to ensure our snack food products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality, food safety, and operational excellence. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product consistency while supporting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift: D Shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule
Pay Rate: $29.30 per hour
What you’ll be doing.

Operate, monitor, and adjust batter and breader equipment to maintain product specifications and quality standards.

Perform quality checks, calculate batter measurements, and accurately document production data throughout the shift.

Identify, communicate, and escalate safety and food safety concerns while ensuring compliance with GMPs and plant policies.

Set up, order, issue, and return raw materials as required to support production schedules.

Assist with fryer, freezer, and other production line activities as needed.

Support the Line Leader in daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.

Maintain a clean and organized work area while following sanitation and food safety requirements.

Safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles and other equipment as required.

Adapt to changing production priorities and support team objectives across the operation.
This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. The role requires prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, along with frequent handling of objects, climbing, balancing, and performing physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and safely perform all essential job functions.
What you’ll need to be successful.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment, processes, and responsibilities.

Demonstrated digital literacy and experience accurately entering production data into electronic systems.

Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and accurate documentation.

Effective problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Physical ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform essential job duties throughout a 12-hour shift.

Experience or ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles.

Compensation Package: - Starting at 29.30 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
