Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent time management skills. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition.
Duties
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when necessary.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as required during loading/unloading processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in driving Flat bed truck with a valid AZ driver's license
- Familiarity with automotive repair practices is a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or forklifts is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required for maintaining logs and records.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
