Primary Data Collection – Medical
1. To conduct systematic primary data collection for a research study examining the existing rules and regulations governing E-Health (application of Information Technology in healthcare) in India.
2. To collect data on the ethical and legal dilemmas associated with the use of E-Health and healthcare information technologies.
3. To collect survey responses from two key respondent groups: healthcare providers and patients.
4. To ensure adequate geographical representation across five selected states/regions of India, including Delhi, with coverage of Southern and Western India.
5. To obtain a total of 400 valid survey responses, comprising approximately 200 healthcare providers and 200 patients.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Nursing, Medicine, Social Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Research Methodology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
· Strong academic or professional background in healthcare research, public health, social research, survey research, or healthcare management.
· Knowledge of primary data collection methods, questionnaire administration, research ethics, and informed consent procedures.
· Candidates with an academic or professional background in E-Health, digital health, healthcare information technology, healthcare policy, or healthcare regulations will be preferred.
Online Survey & Data Collection: Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Kobo Toolbox, or similar online survey platforms.
· Data Management: Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent data management tools for monitoring respondent recruitment, sample distribution, and data completeness.
· Communication & Recruitment: Email, telephone, professional networks, healthcare institution networks, and other appropriate channels for recruiting eligible respondents.
· Data Quality Management: Basic knowledge of data validation, duplicate-response identification, completeness checks, and questionnaire quality control.
Minimum 2+ years' experience in primary data collection, survey research, field research, healthcare research, public health research, or related areas.
· Prior experience in:
- Conducting structured questionnaire-based surveys.
- Recruiting and interacting with research participants.
- Collecting data from healthcare professionals and/or patients.
- Maintaining respondent confidentiality and research documentation.
- Monitoring sample quotas and geographical distribution.
· Experience in healthcare, E-Health, digital health, health information systems, healthcare policy, or regulatory research is preferred.
· Previous experience conducting multi-location or multi-state data collection is an advantage.
Strong understanding of primary data collection and survey research methodology.
· Ability to identify and recruit eligible healthcare providers, including:
- Doctors
- Nurses
- Healthcare technicians
- Healthcare management/administrative professionals
· Ability to recruit eligible patients for the patient survey.
· Good understanding of informed consent, voluntary participation, confidentiality, and ethical research practices.
· Ability to communicate professionally with healthcare professionals and patients.
· Ability to follow predefined inclusion/exclusion criteria and sampling requirements.
· Strong organizational skills to monitor the required 200 healthcare provider and 200 patient responses.
· Ability to maintain accurate state-wise and respondent-category-wise records.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify incomplete, inconsistent, or duplicate responses.
· Good communication, interpersonal, coordination, and documentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and achieve agreed sample-size targets within the specified timeline.
Conduct primary data collection for the E-Health research study examining the rules and regulations governing the application of IT in healthcare in India.
· Recruit and collect survey responses from healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, technicians, and healthcare management professionals.
· Recruit and collect survey responses from patients using the designated patient questionnaire.
· Collect a total of 400 valid responses, comprising approximately 200 healthcare providers and 200 patients.
· Conduct data collection across five selected states/regions, including Delhi, ensuring representation from the Southern and Western regions of India.
· Identify appropriate healthcare institutions, professional networks, patient groups, and other relevant channels for participant recruitment, subject to applicable permissions.
· Explain the purpose of the research and survey procedures to prospective participants.
· Obtain informed consent before collecting responses.
· Administer the questionnaires consistently without influencing or leading participants' responses.
· Ensure that participants meet the specified eligibility criteria before inclusion in the study.
· Monitor the progress of data collection according to respondent category and geographical location.
· Maintain a systematic record of completed, incomplete, and invalid questionnaires.
· Conduct data quality checks, including identification of duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent responses.
· Maintain the confidentiality and security of participant information and research data.
· Organize and prepare the collected survey data in a structured format suitable for statistical analysis.
· Coordinate with the research team regarding sample progress, recruitment challenges, geographical coverage, and data-quality issues.
· Prepare and submit the final cleaned primary dataset and data collection documentation.
· Ensure that all data collection activities comply with the approved research protocol and ethical requirements.
· Contribute to the preparation of a scientifically structured primary data collection report documenting the respondent profile, sample distribution, geographical coverage, and data collection process.
