Senior PeopleSoft Grants & Project Costing SME Consultant

Position Overview
Seeking a senior PeopleSoft FSCM SME with deep, hands-on experience in PeopleSoft Grants and Project Costing to support a complex, multi-agency public-sector environment. The consultant will assess current processes, standardize practices, improve reporting and controls, and deliver documentation and training.
Key Responsibilities
Lead functional discovery and assess PeopleSoft Grants, Project Costing, Billing, and AR processes.
Configure and support PeopleSoft 9.2 Grants in a live/production environment.
Standardize inconsistent Grants processes across agencies and establish operational controls.
Develop and document PeopleSoft Queries and Grants reports.
Support grant compliance and federal/state reporting, including FEMA, FHWA, HHS, or similar programs.
Support PUM updates, ServiceNow task management, and SharePoint documentation.
Create job aids, process documentation, and repeatable onboarding/training materials.
Deliver virtual, role-based training to business and finance users.
Collaborate with FSCM, Finance, agency leadership, and CIO-level stakeholders.
Support emerging PeopleSoft API, analytics, and AI capabilities.
Required Experience
7–15+ years of PeopleSoft FSCM experience with deep Grants expertise.
Strong hands-on PeopleSoft Grants and Project Costing experience; working knowledge of Billing and AR.
Production experience configuring and supporting PeopleSoft Grants.
Strong PeopleSoft Query and delivered Grants reporting experience.
PeopleSoft 9.2 and PUM experience.
Public-sector, state government, or multi-agency PeopleSoft experience.
Experience with regulated grants and federal/state compliance reporting.
Demonstrated ability to enter an unfamiliar environment and deliver results within 30–60 days.
Proven experience creating job aids, documentation, and role-based training.
Ideal Candidate
An independent, senior-level SME who can quickly understand complex environments, bring consistency to fragmented processes, communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders, and leave the organization with better processes, documentation, controls, and trained users. PeopleSoft certification is a plus.

Pay: $70.00 - $110.00 per hour
