Lead Data Scientist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to lead complex data science initiatives and deliver actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, SQL, and advanced analytics, along with the ability to work with large and complex datasets and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead complex, high-impact data science and analytics projects.

Develop predictive models, algorithms, and statistical solutions for business problems.

Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

Apply machine learning and statistical techniques including regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, and hypothesis testing.

Evaluate and improve existing analytical models and their performance.

Use SQL and other programming/statistical tools to analyze large and complex datasets.

Translate business requirements into effective analytical solutions.

Present complex analytical findings as clear, actionable business recommendations.

Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve data-related issues.

Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to other data scientists.

Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications

7+ years of professional Data Science experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or another STEM-related field.

Strong hands-on experience with Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling.

Strong knowledge of advanced statistical analysis, including regression, hypothesis testing, probability, and A/B testing.

Advanced SQL and database management skills.

Strong programming experience with Python, R, or similar data science tools.

Experience with data mining, visualization, pattern analysis, and large/complex datasets.

Strong understanding of the end-to-end data science project lifecycle.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor other data science professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare experience is highly preferred, particularly experience with:

Healthcare/EHR experience is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
