Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 0–4 years of experience to support mechanical installation, maintenance, inspection, repair and commissioning activities in a shipbuilding/ship-repair environment. Freshers with strong technical fundamentals and a willingness to work at the shipyard are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in mechanical installation, maintenance and repair activities onboard vessels.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, GA drawings and P&IDs.
- Support installation and alignment of pumps, valves, motors, compressors and other marine machinery.
- Assist in piping installation, fit-up, testing and commissioning.
- Monitor mechanical work carried out by technicians, fitters and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, QA/QC, Electrical and other departments.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct basic inspection of mechanical equipment and identify defects or abnormalities.
- Assist with equipment alignment, measurement and dimensional checking.
- Prepare daily work progress reports and maintain relevant documentation.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment and materials.
- Support pressure testing, functional testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, work permits and safe working procedures.
- Identify work-front requirements such as manpower, materials, tools and equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems and implementing corrective actions.
- Support vessel trials and final inspection activities.

Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 0–4 years of experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, marine, shipbuilding or ship-repair industries.
- Freshers can apply.
- Candidates with shipyard/marine experience will have an advantage.
