Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
- Provide expert guidance on estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law to help clients preserve wealth for future generations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by staying current on updates in tax legislation such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and securities law.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support complex transactions including mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, and financial reporting.
- Manage regulatory compliance accounting processes such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to develop strategic financial plans that incorporate tax-efficient solutions for estate planning, asset management, and financial sales initiatives.
- Utilize advanced accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools for accurate bookkeeping, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical accounting concepts, tax implications, and financial analysis results clearly and confidently.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required; active licensure is essential.
- Extensive experience in public accounting with a strong background in tax accounting and compliance.
- Proven expertise in corporate accounting, individual tax preparation, tax law interpretation, and regulatory compliance accounting.
- Deep knowledge of estate planning strategies including wills, trusts & estate law; familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with financial software is highly desirable.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial reports and perform detailed account analysis.
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects involving auditing procedures, financial report writing, mergers & acquisitions support, and financial planning initiatives.
- Knowledge of securities law, private equity structures, non-profit accounting practices, payroll processing, budgeting techniques, asset management strategies, and general ledger reconciliation is advantageous.

Pay: $87,570.00 - $105,460.64 per year
