Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Porter/Driver’s Mate to join our dynamic team. In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in supporting logistics operations by assisting with the safe loading, unloading, and transportation of furniture. Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading furnature on vans for delivery
- Support drivers in transporting goods between warehouse areas, docks, and external locations
- Operate warehouse management system to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct routine inspections of materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by adhering to safety protocols
- Support with shipping and receiving activities, verifying shipment details and documentation
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance when needed
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with materials handling and logistics operations
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for understanding equipment functions and troubleshooting
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Experience with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail for accurate load & unload procedures, shipping & receiving documentation, and safety compliance
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a busy environment

Pay: From £60.00 per day
