South Derbyshire - Office Based - Credit Controller - Temporary
Eaton Syalon are working with our client in South Derbyshire to recruit a temporary Credit Controller into their Finance team. The role will be a standalone position with full ownership of the ledger. The ideal candidate will be available immediately or at short notice to start this temporary position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit checking customer accounts
- Analyse debtor data for trends, risks, and opportunities
- Manage and maintain credit insurance cover
- Analyse aged debt reports
- Develop strong relationships with key customers to support prompt payment
- Drive cash collection via phone and email
- Manage and support month end close processes
- Produce and monitor key credit control KPIs
- Provide accurate and timely data to support cashflow forecasting, bad debt provisioning and financial reporting
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on debtors
- Maintain and enhance credit control procedures
- Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
- Maintain the sales ledger, including account set up, monitoring, cash collection, and query resolution
- Manage and support month end close processes
The must haves:
Previous credit control/sales ledger experience
Happy working in a standalone credit control role
Strong Excel skills - pivot tables and V look ups as a minimum standard
Capable of managing the credit control process from start to finish
