Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using C#, .Net and related tools such as Selenium and TestNG for various applications
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure thorough coverage of functional, performance, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Execute automated tests across multiple environments, including mobile devices and browsers, utilizing tools like Appium for mobile testing and Selenium WebDriver for web testing.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps (formerly TFS), or GitLab to enable continuous integration and delivery.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases; collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues related to APIs, databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server), or system configurations.
- Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system scalability under load conditions.
- Maintain version control of test scripts with SVN or Git repositories; ensure proper documentation of test procedures and results for audit purposes.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in C# programming language with experience in developing robust automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG or JUnit for test automation; familiarity with Cucumber or SpecFlow is a plus.
- Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks such as Appium for Android and iOS applications.
- Experience with RESTful APIs testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured; understanding of SOAP web services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with database querying using SQL (MySQL, SQL Server) and PL/SQL for data validation during tests.
- Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis and debugging; strong analytical skills for data analysis and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or HP ALM; proficiency in QA test planning, test case design, and execution.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash is beneficial for advanced automation tasks.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN; experience with build tools like Maven or Ant is a plus.
- Understanding of system architecture including service-oriented architecture (SOA), MVC frameworks, cloud platforms like Azure, and operating systems including Windows/Linux environments.
