Job Requirements
Role Summary
Build, maintain, and operate the network simulation lab and verify the solution from a networking perspective. The engineer should be a strong network specialist with a validation mindset who can reproduce customer environments, automate network scenarios, execute test cases, and diagnose complex field and deployment issues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, document, and maintain physical and virtual network test environments for Polaris.
- Configure routers, managed switches, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, WAN/MPLS concepts, and relevant 4G/5G or CGNAT scenarios.
- Create network simulation and automation scripts for latency, jitter, packet loss, bandwidth constraints, disconnections, NAT behavior, and recovery scenarios.
- Develop network-focused V&V plans, test cases, execution evidence, reports, regression coverage, and defect records.
- Validate performance, reliability, resilience, connectivity, audio/video streaming, signaling, remote access, and screen-sharing behavior.
- Use packet captures, application logs, metrics, and structured troubleshooting to isolate root causes.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering, product, verification, and customer-facing teams.
