About the Role
TCS is expanding its digital supply chain practice in Singapore to help regional and global clients apply AI to real supply chain decision-making. We are looking for a senior supply chain consultant who can bring deep domain expertise together with modern AI and optimization to design solutions that plan, sense, and execute across the end-to-end value chain. This is an architect-and-advisor role: someone who understands supply chain operating decisions well enough to determine what should be decided, model the constraints, connect AI to the decision process, and take it from planner conversation to executive business case.
Supply Chain Responsibilities
- Advise clients across and connecting the supply chain: demand planning and forecasting, S&OP/IBP, supply and production planning, inventory and E&O management, replenishment, order management, transportation/logistics, and network design and optimization.
- Translate complex supply chain problems into decision and optimization models — multi-echelon inventory, capacitated network design, cost-to-serve, allocation, and service-level versus working-capital trade-offs — using commercial platforms and/or code.
- Frame the business case in supply chain terms leadership acts on: fill rate/OTIF, inventory turns/DIO, freight and cost-to-serve, E&O reserve, working capital, and forecast accuracy.
- Lead client conversations and executive workshops; mentor analysts; own delivery quality across engagements.
AI & Solution Architecture Responsibilities
- Design agent-based and analytics-driven solutions around supply chain decisions, defining where AI recommends, where it acts, and where it must escalate to a human.
- Apply modern agent interoperability standards such as MCP and A2A where appropriate, while maintaining compatibility with conventional APIs, event-driven integration, and enterprise middleware.
- Integrate solutions with ERP, APS, and supply chain platforms such as SAP, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9, and AIMMS through APIs, governed tool interfaces, and integration services.
- Build governance into every solution: human-in-the-loop approval, decision traceability, explainability, and monitoring appropriate to the decision’s financial and service risk.
- Develop reusable accelerators, solution assets, and points of view that strengthen the practice and support client pursuits.
Essential Experience
- 12+ years in supply chain —consulting, planning, or operations — with hands-on command of planning and execution processes across multiple industries.
- Proven delivery of supply chain optimization and analytics (network design, inventory, transportation, S&OP) using commercial platforms and/or Python/LP-MIP.
- Hands-on experience designing and building agentic/GenAI solutions for enterprise or supply chain use cases — orchestration, tool/data integration, optimization, and human-in-the-loop decisioning; production deployment experience strongly preferred.
- Strong grasp of enterprise supply chain data and the integration reality of ERP/APS landscapes.
- Ability to carry a solution from business problem to architecture to quantified business case, and to communicate it to planners, buyers, and executives.
Preferred
- FMCG/CPG, retail, manufacturing, life sciences, or high-tech supply chain experience; multinational exposure.
- Track record of building reusable accelerators and points of view; contributions to IP or patents in supply chain AI.
- Bachelor’s in engineering and a Master’s/PGP in Operations, Supply Chain, or Management.
