The Role
As a Window & Door Fitter, you will carry out the professional installation of windows and doors in customers’ homes and premises, managing each job from start to finish. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to an experienced, skilled tradesperson who takes genuine pride in the quality of their work and in the experience they deliver to every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Install windows and doors (uPVC, aluminium, timber or bespoke) in domestic and commercial properties from initial site set-up through to completion, in line with manufacturer specifications and building regulations.
- Accurately measure, fit and finish window and door units to a high standard of precision and quality.
- Remove existing frames where required and make good the surrounding area (sealing, trims, finishing) to a professional standard.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant building control, FENSA/regulatory requirements and health & safety standards.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with customers throughout the visit, explaining the process and any on-site considerations.
- Protect customers’ homes and property during installation, keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe at all times.
- Complete installation paperwork, checklists and compliance certification accurately and on time.
- Liaise with the office and scheduling team on job progress, delays or any additional works identified on site.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues professionally, escalating to the Installation Manager where necessary.
- Represent the Horizon brand with a professional, courteous manner at all times, delivering an impeccable customer experience from arrival to sign-off.

Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ proven experience fitting windows and doors from start to finish, gained in a residential and/or commercial installation environment.
- Skilled in installing uPVC, aluminium and/or timber window and door systems to a high standard of finish.
- Strong working knowledge of building regulations, FENSA requirements and health & safety practice on site.
- Impeccable customer service skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally while working in customers’ homes.
- Competent using the hand and power tools relevant to window and door installation.
- Full, clean driving licence, with own transport or willingness to travel to sites.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering a consistently high-quality finish.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills, comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Relevant trade qualification or completed apprenticeship in carpentry, joinery or window & door installation.
- Manual handling, working at height or other relevant site safety certification.
- Experience fitting bespoke or high-specification joinery products.
- Familiarity with Horizon’s product range or similar premium window and door systems.
Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
