Location: Nagaram, ECIL

Department: Stores / Inventory / Operations

Role Overview

We are looking for an organized and responsible Store Manager to manage the complete store and inventory operations for our STEM Education Products and other educational products.

The Store Manager will be responsible for managing the movement and availability of raw materials, components, STEM kits, educational models, finished products, packing materials, tools, consumables, and other inventory from receipt to final dispatch.

The role requires strong inventory control, documentation, coordination with production and other departments, and effective management of store staff.

Key ResponsibilitiesStore & Inventory Management

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store/warehouse.

- Receive and verify all incoming materials and educational products.

- Check quantities, product specifications, and condition of materials received.

- Properly label, categorize, and store all inventory.

- Maintain systematic product-wise and item-wise storage.

- Ensure easy identification and retrieval of products and materials.

- Maintain accurate physical and system-based inventory records.

- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.

- Identify stock shortages and inform the concerned team in advance.

- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.

STEM & Educational Product Management

- Maintain inventory of all STEM Education Products and educational learning products.

- Manage stock of STEM kits, educational models, activity kits, components, tools, accessories, and learning materials.

- Maintain product-wise and SKU-wise stock records.

- Ensure complete kits are available before dispatch.

- Check and track individual components required for assembling STEM kits.

- Maintain records of damaged, missing, defective, or incomplete products.

- Coordinate with the Production/Assembly team for completion of kits and products.

Raw Material & Component Management

- Maintain stock of raw materials and components required for manufacturing STEM products.

- Issue materials to the Production and Assembly teams against approved requirements.

- Maintain records of material issued, consumed, returned, and balance stock.

- Track material consumption and wastage.

- Ensure proper storage and handling of sensitive or fragile components.

- Coordinate with the Purchase team regarding incoming materials and pending requirements.

Finished Goods Management

- Receive finished STEM products from the Production/Assembly team.

- Verify quantity and condition of finished products.

- Maintain finished-goods inventory product-wise.

- Ensure products are properly packed, labelled, and stored.

- Coordinate with the Dispatch team for customer/school/order requirements.

- Ensure the correct product, quantity, and accessories are dispatched.

- Maintain dispatch and stock-out records.

Inventory Control & Documentation

- Maintain proper GRN, Material Issue, Material Return, Stock Transfer, and Dispatch records.

- Update inventory regularly in the company's ERP/Inventory Management System.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.

- Maintain accurate stock registers and supporting documents.

- Conduct periodic stock audits.

- Investigate and report stock discrepancies.

- Track damaged, rejected, excess, and obsolete inventory.

- Ensure proper FIFO practices wherever applicable.

Packing & Dispatch Support

- Maintain sufficient stock of boxes, labels, tapes, packing materials, and other consumables.

- Coordinate with the Dispatch team for daily requirements.

- Ensure products are packed safely to avoid damage during transportation.

- Verify products and quantities before dispatch.

- Ensure dispatch documentation is properly maintained.

Team Management

- Supervise Store Executives, Store Assistants, Helpers, and other store staff.

- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor work progress.

- Ensure discipline and proper work practices within the store.

- Train staff on material handling, stock management, and documentation.

- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of the store.

Coordination

The Store Manager will coordinate with:

- Production Team – raw material and component requirements

- Assembly Team – STEM kit and product completion

- Purchase Team – incoming materials and stock requirements

- Quality Team – defective/rejected products and materials

- Dispatch Team – finished products and order requirements

- Sales Team – product availability and order fulfilment

- Management – inventory status, shortages, excess stock, and discrepancies

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of store and inventory management.

- Experience handling multiple types of products and SKUs.

- Good knowledge of stock receiving, issuing, storage, and dispatch procedures.

- Strong inventory tracking and reconciliation skills.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel.

- Experience with ERP or inventory management software.

- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.

- Strong organizational and coordination skills.

- Ability to manage store staff.

- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate / Diploma in any relevant field.

- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related fields will be an added advantage.

- 3–5 years of experience in Store / Inventory / Warehouse Management.

- Experience in a manufacturing, educational products, electronics, toys, STEM products, assembly, or similar environment will be an advantage.

- Experience handling both raw materials and finished products preferred.

- Candidates with experience managing multiple SKUs and product components will be preferred.

- Inventory accuracy.

- Reduction in stock discrepancies.

- Proper documentation and system updating.

- Reduction in product/material damage and loss.

- Timely material issue to Production and Assembly.

- Timely fulfilment of Dispatch requirements.
