Sunrise Recovery is a leading residential treatment center dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders and reclaim their lives. We offer multiple levels of care including Medical Detox, Residential Treatment, PHP, and IOP in a clinically structured, compassionate environment.
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and client-focused Admissions Coordinator to join our growing team in Lafayette. This role is essential in creating a positive first impression for prospective clients and their families while ensuring a seamless admissions experience.
Position Summary
The Admissions Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Department by answering inquiries, qualifying leads, verifying insurance benefits, completing admissions paperwork, and coordinating the transition of clients into treatment.
This position plays a critical role in helping individuals access life-saving care while contributing to the growth and success of Sunrise Recovery.
What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls from potential clients, families, and referral sources.
- Conduct pre-admission screenings by gathering clinical, medical, and demographic information.
- Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage and financial responsibilities.
- Prepare Good Faith Estimates (GFEs) and collect required fees, including pharmacy co-pays.
- Guide patients and families through the admissions process with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Complete all required admission paperwork, consents, and documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the CRM system.
- Track and manage leads to support admissions goals and improve census.
- Conduct facility tours and represent Sunrise Recovery as a positive brand ambassador.
- Communicate admission details to clinical, medical, and operational teams.
- Assist with reporting, admissions data tracking, and special projects as requested.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as directed by the Director of Admissions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Peer Support Certification preferred.
- Experience in admissions, healthcare, behavioral health, customer service, or sales preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Flexible and dependable team player.
Schedule Requirements
- Sunday through Thursday
- 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Must be available for occasional scheduled admissions outside regular hours when necessary.
- Participation in a fair on-call rotation may be required.
