Role Overview:
Provide overnight L2 operational support across Windows Server and database environments (SQL Server), ensuring proactive monitoring, incident resolution using established SOPs, execution of patching and deployments, and coordination with client teams to maintain overall system and database stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Windows Servers, SQL Server and Azure VMs using PRTG and Azure dashboards; review and acknowledge alerts.
- Resolve infrastructure and database incidents by following approved SOPs and runbooks; escalate when required.
- Perform Windows OS patching, software updates, database maintenance, and scheduled overnight deployments.
- Monitor database instances, jobs, backups, and server resource utilization to ensure operational health.
- Execute application and database deployments using Azure DevOps, Redgate, DB Maestro, or approved tools.
- Validate system and database functionality post-maintenance and document activities performed.
- Coordinate with Paradigm and related teams for change approvals and incident communication.
Key Skills:
- Working knowledge of Windows Server administration and SQL Server support.
- Experience with PRTG, Azure Monitor, or similar database monitoring tools.
- Understanding of OS patching, database deployments, backup validation, and job monitoring.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Redgate, DB Maestro, or similar tools.
- Ability to follow SOPs and perform basic incident troubleshooting and escalation.
