Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Long-Term Substitute - UPK (Universal Pre-Kindergarten) Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire the next generation. Duties

- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs

- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning

- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and respectful learning environment

- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, milestones, and any concerns

- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations at all times

- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides to support classroom operations and student engagement

- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instruction

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student development milestones

- Promote inclusive practices for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services

- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid and CPR procedures

Skills

- Experience working with children across various early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools

- Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education theories, and classroom management strategies

- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques

- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration

- Ability to plan/follow engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social skills

- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations

- First aid and CPR certification to ensure preparedness for emergencies

- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations while fostering an inclusive environment

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
