Translink Express Logistics is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver/Mechanic
Looking for a varied role where you're home every evening?
We're looking for a dependable HGV Class 1 Driver / Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering Monday to Friday working only, with the majority of driving taking place within the Leicester (LE) postcode area.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of driving and hands-on mechanical work, with the chance to become a valued member of a friendly, supportive team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Driving our HGV Class 1 vehicles, mainly on local routes within the LE postcode area.
- Carrying out basic repairs to our commercial fleet.
- Helping to keep our fleet safe, reliable and roadworthy.
- Assisting with occasional office and administrative duties when required.
- Supporting the Garages and transport team with general day-to-day tasks.
No two days are exactly the same, making this a rewarding and varied role.
What We're Looking For
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- No More than 3 points
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Basic mechanical & repair experience working on commercial vehicles or HGVs.
- A positive attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed.
- Good communication skills and a team-player mentality.
- Basic computer skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
