What You’ll Be Doing
As a Professional Driver with Wave Transport, you’ll safely transport mobile office and modular units to customer locations throughout the region.
This is more than simply driving from Point A to Point B. You’ll be trusted to safely manage your equipment, loads, documentation, and communication while providing professional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles and tractor-trailers
- Transport mobile offices, modular units, and oversized loads
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Properly secure loads and verify equipment before transport
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and required transportation documentation
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, deliveries, delays, or concerns
- Report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns promptly
- Navigate jobsites and delivery locations safely and professionally
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Wave Transport positively with customers
- Assist with job-related physical tasks when necessary
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Have at least 2 years of CDL driving experience
- Have a clean or acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Meet all applicable USDOT driver qualification requirements
- Successfully complete required USDOT employment and safety background screening
- Successfully complete required drug and alcohol screening requirements
- Be physically capable of lifting up to 65 lbs.
- Be comfortable operating large commercial vehicles and hauling oversized loads
- Be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently
