The Fleet Manager ensures that all vehicle maintenance programs are executed in an efficient, safe and economical manner by providing leadership, and coordinating and directing employee activities engaged in servicing and repairing equipment and vehicles assigned to DFM Solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Plan, direct and coordinate preventative maintenance and repair programs for all vehicles.

- Evaluate/approve all repair orders and ensures proper funding and budget controls.

- Support and contribute to the development and success of warranty and policy programs for recovery of expenses.

- Ensure vehicles are operational, serviced, and ready to meet daily service requirements.

- Make sure preventative and predictive maintenance of vehicles and equipment meets and exceeds customer expectations.

- Evaluates current program(s) for fleet maintenance and repair and makes continual changes to improve the program.

- Develop, implement, and manage, in coordination with operations objectives, new fleet maintenance programs to achieve optimum productivity and efficiency.

- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for vehicle maintenance using known best practices.

- Review and make recommendations on scope of work and specifications for major procurements related to fleet maintenance.

- Ensure optimum operating efficiency of customer’s machinery and equipment.

- Compliance with all company’s safety policies/procedures in compliance with OSHA DOT.

- Demonstrate role model behavior for safety, integrity and ethical standards consistent with DFMS standards.

- Assist in the development and leadership of short-and-long-range planning activities covering all aspects of fleet maintenance operations.

- Ensure that all vehicles meet all local, state, and federal requirements.

- Take corrective action to achieve goals and meet K.P.I.’s.

- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in automotive technology is preferred but not required.

- A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in the management of Fleet Maintenance functions.

- Working knowledge fleet maintenance and repair operations.

- Ability to plan and manage with budget and time constraints.

- Able to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Demonstrate knowledge of fleet maintenance software.

- Ability to effectively motivate and lead personnel.

- Knowledge of industrial and DOT safety regulations.

- Exceptional customer relationship skills.

- Strong organization and prioritization skills.

- Excellent written, verbal and people skills.

- Proficient in MS Office.
