Job Description:
We are looking for a Database Administrator to join a dynamic team supporting critical database environments across multiple industries and clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, support, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Oracle and MySQL database environments. You will work closely with technical teams, participate in database-related projects, and contribute to maintaining high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized technical support for Database Administration services, including Oracle, MySQL, and Exadata environments.

Support database-related projects and contribute to their successful implementation.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day database issues while ensuring optimal system performance.

Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams supporting database-dependent solutions.

Participate in the implementation of database best practices and process improvements.

Develop and maintain technical documentation as required.

Ensure compliance with established database administration and security standards.

Communicate effectively with team members involved in operational support and project activities.

Perform ongoing operational tasks and contribute to service continuity.
Required Skills & Experience
-
Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in Database Administration.

Solid experience managing Oracle Database and MySQL environments.

Strong knowledge of:

Oracle Database
-
MySQL
-
Oracle RAC
-
Data Guard
-
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.

Portuguese (Native); English at least a B1 level

Comfortable working on an hybrid environment - at least two days on site (Lisbon Metro area).
Nice to Have

Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Knowledge of Exadata environments.

Oracle certifications.

Postgraduate degree in a related field.
Working Conditions

Hybrid work model with at least two onsite days per week in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

Rotating schedules within:
-
08:00 – 17:00
-
11:00 – 20:00
-
Participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call support roster shared among team members.
