Position Overview
DAn Solutions is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect to lead the architecture and design of innovative cybersecurity solutions supporting secure federal networks and mission-critical environments.
This position will work with technical teams and senior stakeholders to translate strategic cybersecurity objectives, customer requirements, emerging technologies, and environmental conditions into secure and effective engineering solutions. The Cybersecurity Architect will help develop enterprise security strategies, Zero Trust architectures, technology roadmaps, and implementation approaches designed to reduce attack surfaces while maintaining mission effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture and design of enterprise cybersecurity solutions and service offerings.

Develop and implement security solutions aligned with enterprise cybersecurity strategies and mission requirements.

Architect Zero Trust solutions, roadmaps, and capabilities aligned with NIST 800-207 and the DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture.

Lead network and systems architecture and design efforts with a focus on hardening systems and reducing attack surfaces.

Translate strategic cybersecurity objectives, technology requirements, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions.

Evaluate security technologies and recommend appropriate tools, architectures, and implementation approaches.

Lead product-selection initiatives involving technologies such as perimeter defense, Zero Trust, automation and orchestration, artificial intelligence, analytics, secure DevOps, identity and access management, and network access control.

Develop architectural alternatives that balance cybersecurity requirements with operational and mission needs.

Support cybersecurity technologies and domains including IoT security, cloud security, Automation and Orchestration (A&O), identity and access management, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Collaborate with senior government and technical leadership, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other executives, to develop and execute cybersecurity capability-maturation strategies.

Develop cybersecurity implementation plans, architectural standards, technical documentation, and technology roadmaps.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cybersecurity engineers, architects, and other technical team members.
Required Qualifications
-
8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations.

5+ years of experience in network architecture and design.

Experience architecting Zero Trust solutions, roadmaps, and capabilities aligned with industry and federal standards.

Knowledge of NIST 800-207 and the DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture.

Experience leading cybersecurity product-selection and technology-evaluation initiatives.

Experience with cybersecurity capabilities such as perimeter defense, Zero Trust, automation and orchestration, AI, analytics, secure DevOps, identity and access management, or network access control.

Ability to work with and advise senior leadership, including CISO, CIO, CTO, and executive-level stakeholders.

Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex cybersecurity and systems-engineering challenges.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture, network security, system hardening, and attack-surface reduction.

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
EducationExperience
Candidates must meet one of the following:

Associate's Degree + 10 years supporting IT projects and activities

Bachelor's Degree + 8 years

Master's Degree + 6 years

12+ years supporting IT projects and activities in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering leadership role.

Experience selecting, designing, and implementing security tools and capabilities for large, complex federal or commercial organizations.

Experience collaborating with project and proposal teams to develop cybersecurity solutions, implementation plans, and technology roadmaps.

Ability to develop technical documentation, whitepapers, and other cybersecurity thought-leadership materials.

Experience with innovative cybersecurity technologies, including:

Certification Requirements

Ability to obtain an approved DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider – Infrastructure Support (CSSP-IS) certification within 30 days of offer acceptance. Approved certifications may include CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND.

Ability to obtain an approved IAT Level III certification within 45 days of the CSSP-IS date, or within 45 days of offer acceptance if the candidate already possesses CSSP-IS. Approved certifications may include SecurityX (formerly CASP+), CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP.
Salary Range Disclaimer: The posted salary range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum compensation DAn Solutions expects to pay for this position. The position may be filled at different Labor Category (LCAT) levels depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contract requirements. Final compensation within the posted range will be determined based on the applicable LCAT and factors including education, relevant experience, certifications, and other required qualifications.
