As a seasonal private club, we are looking to fill a full-time or part-time position from approximately October 2026 to June 2027. our busiest times are also some of our most exciting. Flexibility and availability during peak season, holidays, special events, tournaments, and other high-demand periods are important to the success of our team. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Host at Tradition Golf Club is responsible for delivering an excellent hospitality experience by maintaining the overall flow of the restaurant. They provide a positive and professional first and last impression to every guest. In the event there is a wait time, quote an accurate wait time and answer any questions the guest may have.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Greet members/guests and to ensure their dining experience is a smooth and memorable experience.

Take phone reservations and requests when required in a professional and courteous manner.

Effectively control the host desk and communicate with guests regarding their reservation, wait time, and any walk-in customers.

Reset and clear tables.

Ensure smooth operation of the front desk.

Pay attention to the minutest details during the time you are with the members/guests.

Show guests to the table or bar.

Set up, maintain, and clean the desk.

Comply with all health & safety and Fire safety procedures and attend all required training

Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times

Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments
- Provide members/guests with menus

Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup

Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and to respond to complaints

Maintain contact with Kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers' concerns are addressed

Inform patrons of establishment specialties and features

Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that patrons receive prompt and courteous service

Assist in planning functions or other special events and services

Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested

Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers

Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers

Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described on the attached “Physical Demands of Position” chart are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the property, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs and standing for extended periods of time. Also, may be subjected to a smoke filled environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the Banquet environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
