Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Plant HR to manage day-to-day HR operations at our plastic manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for manpower planning, recruitment, attendance and payroll coordination, employee relations, contract labour management, statutory compliance, training, employee engagement, HR MIS, and HRMS operations.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in a manufacturing/plant environment.

Key Responsibilities Plant HR Operations

- Manage complete day-to-day HR activities at the manufacturing plant.

- Ensure manpower availability as per production and operational requirements.

- Manage attendance, leave, shift schedules, overtime, and absenteeism.

- Maintain employee records and personnel documentation.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Administration teams.

Recruitment & Manpower Planning

- Handle recruitment for operators, technicians, supervisors, staff, and other plant positions.

- Prepare manpower requirements based on production needs.

- Coordinate joining formalities, documentation, induction, and onboarding.

- Monitor manpower deployment and recruitment status.

HR Management

- Maintain and update employee information in Spine HR

- Manage employee master data and HR records through Spine HR.

- Handle attendance and leave management in Spine HR.

- Monitor shift, weekly-off, overtime, and attendance-related data.

- Generate HR reports and MIS through Spine HR.

- Coordinate payroll inputs and verify attendance-related data before payroll processing.

- Identify and resolve HRMS/Spine HR data discrepancies.

- Ensure timely and accurate HR data entry and record maintenance.

Payroll & Attendance

- Verify monthly attendance, leave, overtime, and payroll inputs.

- Coordinate with the Payroll/Finance team for monthly salary processing.

- Monitor attendance discrepancies and ensure timely corrections.

- Maintain accurate records of employees, workmen, and contract labour.

Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

- Handle employee grievances and shop-floor HR issues.

- Maintain healthy employee relations.

- Support disciplinary actions and implementation of company policies.

- Handle issues related to absenteeism, misconduct, conflicts, and employee concerns.

- Communicate HR policies and company rules effectively to employees.

Contract Labour Management

- Coordinate with contractors regarding manpower requirements.

- Monitor contractor attendance and manpower deployment.

- Ensure required employee and contractor documentation is maintained.

- Coordinate with contractors regarding wages and statutory compliance.

Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.

- Coordinate compliance related to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Contract Labour, and other applicable regulations.

- Maintain statutory records and documentation.

- Support labour inspections, audits, and compliance activities.

Training & Employee Engagement

- Conduct employee induction and HR orientation.

- Identify training requirements and coordinate training programs.

- Maintain training records.

- Organize employee engagement and welfare activities.

- Support employee retention and motivation initiatives.

Required Skills

- 4–8 years of experience in Plant/Factory HR, preferably in plastic or other manufacturing industries.

- Good knowledge of attendance, leave, shift, overtime, and payroll processes.

- Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.

- Experience handling workmen/operators and contract labour.

- Good employee relations and grievance-handling skills.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently in a manufacturing plant environment.

- Good coordination skills with Production, Finance, and other departments.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
