Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Team Lead with strong expertise in Vue.js, Node.js, MongoDB and AWS/Kubernetes, along with experience leading engineering teams in a B2B e-commerce, wholesale, distribution or marketplace environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will continue contributing to the codebase while managing and mentoring a team of 6–10 engineers across web, mobile and QA.

Key Responsibilities

- Write, review and merge production code across Vue.js frontend and Node.js backend.

- Lead code quality, code reviews, refactoring and technical debt reduction.

- Debug full-stack issues across Vue.js, Node.js, MongoDB and Kubernetes.

- Design new modules from requirements/specifications through schema, APIs and implementation.

- Own MongoDB data modelling, indexing, aggregation and query performance.

- Review Node.js/Express API architecture, authentication, validation and error handling.

- Manage AWS/Kubernetes production deployments and application performance.

- Drive AI-assisted development and spec-driven development practices.

- Work with LLM APIs, embeddings and semantic search where relevant.

- Conduct sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups and retrospectives.

- Manage releases, deployment planning, rollback strategy and post-release monitoring.

- Line-manage 6–10 engineers through 1:1s, feedback, performance discussions and growth planning.

- Mentor engineers and participate in technical hiring.

- Act as the technical bridge between the India engineering team and UAE-based product/business stakeholders.

- Own technical delivery across catalogue, pricing, ordering, payments, invoicing, workflows and vendor onboarding.

Mandatory Requirements

- 8+ years of software engineering experience.

- 2+ years of experience leading a team of 5+ engineers.

- Strong, current hands-on experience with Vue.js / Vue 3.

- Strong production experience with Node.js + Express.js.

- Deep experience with MongoDB, including aggregation pipelines, indexing, schema design and query optimisation.

- Strong AWS + Kubernetes/EKS experience in production environments.

- Working knowledge of Flutter, including widget architecture, state management and mobile release pipelines.

- Daily professional use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI or equivalent.

- Experience with spec-driven development and reviewing AI-generated output against defined acceptance criteria.

- Experience setting up/maintaining repository-level AI context/rules files and custom commands.

- Strong Git and CI/CD experience.

- Proven line-management experience including 1:1s, feedback, performance management and mentoring.

- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience working with international/overseas teams and managing time-zone differences.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

- Mandatory domain experience in B2B e-commerce, wholesale/distribution or marketplace platforms.

Preferred

- Offshore technical leadership experience with an overseas leadership/product team.

- Production integration of LLM APIs.

- Experience with CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry or similar observability tools.

- Experience with payment gateways, e-signature, logistics, mapping or geolocation APIs.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
