Drivers at Wise Ready Mix are responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck and delivering ready‑mix concrete to various construction sites. This position requires strict adherence to safety standards, accurate handling of materials, and professional communication with customers and job‑site personnel. Drivers play a key role in ensuring each load meets quality specifications and that customers receive dependable, high‑quality service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with DOT, company, and job‑site regulations
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; report mechanical issues and complete required documentation
- Maintain proper mix consistency, verify slump, and confirm load size according to work tickets
- Position the truck accurately and discharge concrete based on job‑site requirements
- Assemble and operate concrete chutes and controls during placement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to ensure smooth operations
- Provide professional, courteous customer service and represent the company positively on every job
- Follow the safest and most efficient routes as directed by dispatch
- Complete delivery tickets, logs, and other required paperwork
- Observe all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE, attending safety meetings, and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents
- Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned

This driver position is based out of Azle, TX.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License
- Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills
- Clean driving record with commercial vehicle experience
- Current DOT medical card
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to climb ladders safely
- Ability to lift, carry, and assemble concrete chutes weighing up to 50 lbs
