We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Short-Haul Tanker Fuel Delivery Driver to provide fuel delivery services across multiple cities and service areas. This position primarily involves home fuel deliveries, with additional deliveries to construction sites, heavy equipment, commercial equipment, and generators. Drivers will float between service areas based on customer demand and operational needs, providing coverage wherever it is needed most.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely operate a short tanker truck while making local and short-haul fuel deliveries.
Deliver home heating fuel to residential customers.
Fuel construction equipment and other heavy equipment at job sites.
Provide on-site fuel deliveries to generators, including emergency and scheduled fills as needed.
Travel between cities and service areas based on business needs and delivery demand.
Safely connect hoses and operate pumps, valves, meters, and other fuel-delivery equipment.
Verify delivery locations, customer information, fuel type, and delivery amounts.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Maintain accurate delivery tickets, electronic records, mileage logs, and other required documentation.
Follow all DOT regulations and company procedures regarding safe transportation and handling of fuel.
Follow proper spill prevention, environmental, and emergency procedures.
Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, changing priorities, delays, equipment issues, and customer needs.
Provide professional and courteous service to residential, commercial, and construction customers.
Maintain the tanker truck and delivery equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
Work independently while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and timely customer service.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL with required tanker endorsement.
Clean and acceptable driving record.
Previous fuel delivery, tanker, or commercial driving experience preferred.
Ability to safely operate fuel-delivery equipment.
Willingness to travel between cities and work in different service areas as needed.
Ability to work around construction sites and safely navigate job-site conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Dependable, punctual, and professional.Ability to work independently and adapt to changing delivery priorities.
Work Environment:
This is an active, field-based position involving residential properties, construction sites, commercial locations, and generator sites. The driver may encounter varying weather conditions, uneven terrain, traffic, construction activity, and changing delivery schedules. Flexibility and a strong commitment to safe work practices are essential.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
