Sierra Mountain Pipe & Supply is a locally owned and operated supplier of Plumbing, HVAC, Waterworks, Erosion Control, and Irrigation materials. We're growing, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us — not just fill a seat behind the counter.
This isn't a slow-paced retail job. Our counter moves fast, our customers know their trade, and we hold ourselves to a real standard: every customer acknowledged immediately, every order accurate, every shift left better than you found it. What You'll Do
Customer & Sales
- Greet every walk-in customer immediately — no one waits because no one was paying attention
- Take and fill orders for walk-in and inside sales customers, in person and by phone
- Help customers find the right materials, troubleshoot problems, and offer alternatives when needed
- Build real product knowledge across plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, erosion control, and irrigation so you can actually help, not just ring people up
Order Accuracy
- Enter orders into our system accurately and in real time — account details, authorization, PO numbers, and order type
- Pull, fill, and receive orders correctly the first time
- Handle delivery order details with care: correct ship-to address, delivery routing, scheduling, tax codes, and job site instructions
- Once material leaves the counter, you own that order's accuracy — we're looking for someone who takes that seriously
Warehouse & Store
- Pull and receive incoming orders
- Properly stock and organize materials and displays
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- General warehouse work and light driving when needed
- Keep your area clean, stocked, and customer-ready — every shift, not just when it's convenient
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of counter sales or relevant customer-facing work experience
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Comfortable with computers and order-entry systems
- Able to perform light-to-moderate lifting and warehouse work
- Industry knowledge (plumbing/HVAC/waterworks/irrigation) is a big plus — but a genuine willingness to learn matters more
- Someone who's proactive: doesn't wait to be told what to do when things are slow, and doesn't let the counter go unattended when things are busy

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
