Role Summary

This role offers the opportunity to manage and service an allocated portfolio of renewal business, whilst providing technical and administrative support throughout the lifecycle of both new and renewal risks. The role combines client relationship management, renewal retention, and technical processing responsibilities, ensuring clients receive excellent service and optimum insurance solutions. Working closely with brokers, clients, insurers, and internal teams, you will play an important role in securing and retaining business, maintaining strong market and client relationships, and ensuring all documentation and system records are accurate, compliant, and completed within agreed service standards.

Role Accountabilities

- Manage an allocated portfolio of renewal business, delivering retention and growth objectives.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, insurers and markets, ensuring high service standards and long-term retention.

- Negotiate terms with underwriters and support the placement and renewal of risks to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

- Produce and maintain Market Reform Contracts (MRCs), endorsements and policy documentation in line with London Market and regulatory requirements.

- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete, including clauses, conditions, taxes and territorial requirements.

- Follow Consilium quality control and SPOE procedures before issuing documentation.

- Manage renewals and transactions through to completion, ensuring deadlines, instructions and service standards are met.

- Maintain accurate client, policy and risk records throughout the policy lifecycle.

- Track and resolve subjectivities, outstanding actions, premium, accounting and payment queries in collaboration with relevant teams.

- Use PPL and other market systems to process orders, endorsements and market transactions where required.

- Maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, attention to detail and time management.

- Support and share knowledge with colleagues, including providing or undertaking training as required.

- Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

- 4+ years’ experience within the insurance industry.

- Strong UK commercial insurance experience and good knowledge of the UK insurance market (essential).

- Strong understanding of London Market processes, terminology and documentation, including Market Reform Contracts (MRCs) (essential).

- Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering account management or retention objectives within a commercial insurance environment (essential).

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines (essential).

- Strong understanding of policy administration and insurance documentation processes (essential).

- Experience of developing and achieving sales, retention or account management objectives (desirable).

- Working towards or holding a relevant insurance qualification, such as CII (desirable).

- Good digital literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and relevant insurance systems.

- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and discretion, with the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and service standards.
