Your Role
Ensure our ambitious world runs at peak performance across PC and consoles without compromising gameplay or fidelity.
Responsibilities
- Profile CPU, GPU, memory, and network performance across platforms.
- Optimize Unreal Engine 5 systems (Nanite, Lumen, World Partition, physics, AI, animation, networking).
- Integrate and fine-tune upscaling technologies (DLSS, FSR, TSR) to maximize performance while preserving visual quality.
- Improve rendering pipelines, LOD systems, asset streaming, and lighting setups.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and artists to balance fidelity and performance.
- Develop tools and workflows for automated performance testing.
- Support platform-specific optimization for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of game development experience
- At least one shipped AAA PC or console title
- Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 profiling and optimization workflows
- Skilled in GPU optimization (materials, shaders, lighting, draw calls)
- Experience with CPU-side optimization: AI, physics, and networking
- Familiarity with upscaling solutions (DLSS, FSR, TSR)
- Bonus: experience with large-scale survival, RPG, or open-world games
- Ability to work onsite in Munich, Germany
- Valid EU work authorization
