Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Transport Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to deliver goods efficiently and on time. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles for delivery routes
- Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and safety protocols during all driving activities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Navigate route driving efficiently using mobile devices for directions and delivery updates
- Load and unload goods with proper manual handling practices, including heavy lifting and safe lifting techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods accurately, on time, and with a professional attitude
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving transportation
- Skilled in commercial truck driving with knowledge of manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with warehouse experience, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace
- Excellent driving skills with a clean record and adherence to safety standards
- Ability to handle manual lifting tasks involving heavy or bulky items safely
- Proficient in using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and delivery documentation
