About the Company
Our client is a Series A consumer AI company building a personal context platform that already has millions of people using it to track and understand what they consume. They are a small, fast-moving team backed by leading technology investors, and this hire will be the operational core of their product and engineering organization.
Founded 2021 · Industry: AI, Consumer
The Role
This is the operational backbone of the product, design, and engineering team: keeping the shipping machine clear, coordinated, and fast so each function can focus on its highest-leverage work. It is a hands-on, facilitation-heavy execution role with substantial ownership and a path into broader operations leadership. It is not a strategy or product-vision seat.
What you'll be doing
-
Run the product operating system: sprint planning across Product, Eng, and Design, and own the backlog as a living artifact.
-
Own release coordination, QA readiness, launch checklists, and cross-team communication.
-
Spot coordination gaps, unclear ownership, and bottlenecks before they become expensive.
-
Own support operations: intake, routing, resolution, and turning recurring support signals into product and engineering inputs.
-
Use AI aggressively to compress admin work and build lightweight automations that let a small team operate at greater scale.
-
Simplify process aggressively, favoring higher reliability over more ceremony.
Tech stack: Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Compose, TypeScript, Hono, Postgres, Supabase, Snowflake, Cloudflare, AWS, Amplitude, Statsig, Sentry, Grafana Cloud
Requirements
-
3–7 years in a product, project, or technical program management role on a software product, with a track record of execution and operational rigor.
-
Hands-on exposure to the full software development lifecycle: sprints, backlog, releases, and QA.
-
Fluent working directly with engineers in a software development environment.
-
Has owned a product-ops or release process end-to-end and independently, including building one from scratch and recognizing when an existing one is broken.
-
Experience at an early-stage (Seed to Series C) startup.
-
Strong communicator and facilitator who runs meetings, documents decisions, and closes loops.
-
Able to work in person daily at the New York City office.
Nice to Haves

A consumer or B2B2C background with deep operational complexity, such as trust and safety, payments, moderation, or multi-stakeholder coordination.
