Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Functional / Design Lead to own the functional design of Symphony GOLD V6 migration programs for European grocery retailers, with a current flagship migration at a major Central European grocery chain.
This is a design-authority role: the consultant leads functional design across the ordering, store-operations, mobile, and forecasting/replenishment domains (in GOLD: GCO, GSO, GSM2, GDF, GWR), facilitates customer workshops, and owns the functional design deliverables of the migration. The role also serves the incoming upgrade-program pipeline, where comparable PM + functional-lead + analyst structures are being stood up.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Design Authority
Own future-state functional design for GOLD V6 migrations: scope, design decisions, and functional architecture across ordering, store operations, mobile, and forecasting/replenishment domains.
Produce and quality-assure functional design documentation, gap analyses, and migration design deliverables.
Arbitrate functional design questions between customer business teams, technical leads, and product.
Workshops & Customer Leadership
Plan and facilitate customer design workshops on site and remotely.
Lead functional validation cycles with customer key users through migration phases.
Support customer decision-making on standard-vs-specific trade-offs during migration.
Program Delivery
Work within migration program structures (PM + functional lead + analysts + technical leads) and hold functional milestone commitments.
Support test scoping, UAT preparation, and cutover readiness from the functional side.
Contribute functional-lead capacity to new upgrade programs entering delivery.
Qualifications
4+ years of retail-systems functional consulting experience.
Expert-level functional depth, on Symphony GOLD or an equivalent renowned, market-established and referenceable SCM solution, across ordering, store operations, mobile, and forecasting/replenishment domains (in GOLD: GCO, GSO, GSM2, GDF, GWR).
Functional design leadership on at least one major platform migration or re-implementation program.
Strong workshop facilitation and design-documentation skills in a customer-facing setting.
Ability to hold design authority across parallel workstreams and arbitrate between business and technical stakeholders.
Fluent English; readiness for recurring on-site presence in Central Europe.
Preferred Qualifications
Polish language or Central European retail market exposure.
GOLD V6 migration or upgrade program experience.
Experience standing up new program structures (PM + functional lead + analyst teams).
