Due to continued growth and expansion, Wales Environmental is looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Category C Jet-Vac / Vacuum Tanker Driver to join our growing team at our West Wales depot.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the drainage, environmental and liquid waste industry, working across a varied range of commercial contracts and private customer sites throughout Wales and beyond.
The Role
As a Jet-Vac / Vacuum Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive drainage and environmental services, including:
- Operating Jet-Vac and vacuum tankers safely and efficiently.
- High-pressure water jetting and drainage cleaning.
- Gully cleaning and associated drainage works.
- Transporting liquid waste to authorised disposal and treatment facilities.
- Carrying out planned and emergency/reactive works.
- Completing relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
- Working in accordance with all company, customer, health & safety and environmental requirements.
- Providing a professional and reliable service to our customers.
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, professional and willing to get stuck in.
You will need:
- A valid HGV Category C driving licence.
- A professional attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
- The ability to work flexibly, including early morning starts.
- A willingness to participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
Desirable Qualifications
The following are advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided:
- Current CSCS card.
- High Pressure Water Jetting qualification/certification.
- Previous experience within the drainage, tanker, environmental or waste industry.
