Position Overview
The Senior Digital Program Manager is responsible for the delivery of platform features and capabilities across multiple development and scrum teams, interfacing with technical staff, management, and business resources. This role manages the delivery of a group of related projects that support a common program goal aligned with digital strategy, while providing leadership and mentorship to less experienced project managers.
Key Contributions & Responsibilities

Manage the planning and execution of project deliverables, ensuring successful, on-time, on-budget, and error-free completion of projects

Manage the project charter, communications, metrics, reporting, and overall program plan, including dependencies between related projects and program budget

Use knowledge of cloud-based platforms and digital processes, along with business acumen, to guide cross-functional teams in project execution

Manage multiple projects concurrently

Apply advanced knowledge of the organization's products and services, internal systems and processes, and relevant external factors (competitors, laws and regulations, market conditions) to meet or exceed customer expectations

Serve as the principal communicator with clients and internal stakeholders regarding project status

Identify and manage risks and issues; log and review program risks with stakeholders and take timely action to mitigate or eliminate them

Define program scope and success indicators to realize program benefits within a defined timeframe

Apply Agile or Waterfall program management methodology as relevant to program execution, following current industry practices (e.g., DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) to maximize velocity and innovation

Prioritize program requirements in partnership with the Product Owner and other stakeholders

Develop the communication plan and stakeholder management plan for the program, including a stakeholder register and analysis of stakeholder positions

Provide regular updates to business stakeholders and consumers of program deliverables

Create and manage dependencies across active projects, collaborating across the program to leverage diverse ideas

Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers within the program, evaluating team members and identifying resources or training needed to strengthen the team

Develop a rough order of magnitude for the program budget, track actuals, and complete quarterly spend forecasts

Communicate program status using a visual reporting tool and maintain program artifacts, including lessons learned, in a shared, accessible location

Serve as an advocate for the program to support its successful adoption
Requirements
Education & Experience — Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field AND 8+ years of professional experience in this capacity, OR

Master's degree AND 5+ years of experience

Experience working with large programs or enterprise organizations
Technical Skills — Required

5+ years of experience with Agile project management

Experience working with data engineering teams on end-to-end application and data migration initiatives

Technical education or background in developmental engineering management

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps

Experience managing software development projects/programs in large matrix organizations

Familiarity with the application development life cycle
Technical Skills — Nice to Have
- Experience leading cross-organizational system testing teams
- Scrum Master certification

Familiarity with manual and automated system testing techniques
