Introduction

About Central Technology

CT is a forward-thinking IT support, Telecoms and Cloud service provider embarking on a journey to transition from a regional, single office business to a national, multi-location organisation.

Our mission is to be the UK’s leading business technology partner to the SME market AND to be the UK’s premier provider of cloud data solutions.

Overview / Purpose:

You’ll need to demonstrate an expert-level of understanding for Microsoft 365 services and apps; in particular, the delivery of business focused solutions based on the Microsoft 365 collaboration stack (SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive). This includes a good awareness and knowledge of associated Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools. Experience with Power Platform (particularly Power BI) and Copilot would be advantageous, but not essential.

The successful applicant will have worked with Microsoft 365 collaboration services for 3+ years and must have significant experience and familiarity of delivering solutions within these products. An understanding of business operations and business processes is also required, as is the ability to help clients identify their needs and work with them to deliver quality solutions.

The Modern Workplace Consultant will be responsible for delivering projects focused on Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive. Customer engagements will include Intranets, file server and SharePoint On-premises migrations, collaboration and document management solutions and bespoke business solutions built using the entire Microsoft 365 collaboration suite. Additionally, the Modern Workplace Consultant will advise on information lifecycle, governance, security, and compliance.

Whilst the role will be heavily focused on project delivery, the role will require at times, participation in pre-Sales engagements relevant to the technology area, owning and delivering the creation and communication of proposal content to customers and prospects.

About You:

You’ll be working in a small consultancy practice, specialising in Microsoft Collaboration and Power Platform solutions. You’ll be working with a diverse and ever-growing customer base, delivering solutions that support digital transformation.

You’ll work closely with customers throughout the project lifecycle, from Proof of Concept through to project delivery. You’ll be expected to work within agreed timescales and budgets, ensuring all deadlines are met. You will also lend your technical expertise to support Sales and Marketing efforts, acting as the evangelist for all things Microsoft Collaboration.

Proven organisational, communication and client-facing skills are essential, as is the ability to think on your feet and adapt to customer needs, based on updates to Microsoft’s technology roadmap. You’ll be a natural problem solver, analytical, inquisitive and have a desire to keep up with emerging technologies. But most importantly of all, you will need to have high levels of self-motivation, innovation and the drive to really make a difference.
