Job Summary
The Business Analyst (Apps Services) bridges business needs and technology solutions by collaborating with stakeholders to deliver, govern, and maintain IT applications effectively.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business owners, project managers, solution architects, technical consultants, and security teams to implement and maintain IT solutions
Gather and analyze business, database, and application requirements to inform solution design
Develop application and solution designs including wireframes, workflows, and data architecture to support business objectives
Map business processes and analyze data to identify gaps and recommend improvements
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication of ideas and solutions
Conduct testing, incident and problem management, and oversee change management processes to ensure solution quality and compliance
Assess IT risks and compliance requirements to support governance of agency applications
Present ideas and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences to facilitate decision-making
Drive problem-solving and continuous process improvement initiatives
Demonstrate proactive, self-motivated teamwork to support project success
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Good knowledge of government ICT environment
Analytical mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience in IT risk assessment and compliance activities
Ability to present ideas effectively to diverse audiences
