Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Deputy Manager to join our team supporting people with learning disabilities in a residential care setting. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and nurture teams, ensure the people we support reach their goals and aspirations and we meet regulatory expectations. As a Deputy Manager, you will serve as a key support to the Registered Manager, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your leadership will help shape our organisational culture and elevate service standards, making a tangible impact to people every day.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing day to day activities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and standards

- Lead and motivate team members to deliver great quality care while maintaining high levels of engagement and morale

- Coordinate training and development to enhance team skills, especially in core areas such as safeguarding, medication, moving and assisting, and communication.

- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation processes for new staff members

- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and quality standards at all times

- Handle escalated issues with professionalism, providing timely resolutions that uphold our commitment to excellence

Experience

- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in social care

- Strong background in supporting staff, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster collaboration

- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude

- Prior experience working in fast-paced social care setting
